Our Story

 

Founded in 1976 by two brother-in-laws with one of their mothers as executive chef, Carlyle’s began as a lunchtime spot serving ice cream, soups and sandwiches to the Atlanta corporate market.

Homemade foods served with a genuine smile was a recipe for success, and Carlyle’s grew to more than a dozen locations across Atlanta.

Our Corporate Catering Division grew as demand for in-office foods boomed across Atlanta. A range of Fortune 100 companies, boutique firms, universities and government institutions relied on Carlyle’s for a variety of services, from running daily meal programs to executing high-end corporate events.

In 2019, we opened our own 500 capacity event space. The Carlyle sits in the center of Atlanta in a gorgeous historic building, a place for our city’s residents to gather for celebrations, meetings, and community events.

During the 2020 Pandemic, Carlyle’s diversified its services to produce wholesale foods, including meals for the US Marines. The company also shifted to provide wholistic hospitality solutions, focusing its 45 year record of success on helping Atlanta businesses solve food related challenges in a post-pandemic office.

Today, we make our clients successful, no matter what food or catering need they bring to us. We form lasting, healthy relationships with our clients because we bring the same genuine concern and friendly attitude as we did on day one.

Carlyle’s In The Community

Our community is doing important work. We want to support these missions and champion their impact. Specifically, The Nicholas House and The Covenant House, are two non-profits we hold near & dear to our hearts. Both organizations offer support services and safe havens for Atlanta’s homeless population. Through hot meal donations & volunteer efforts, we hope to make a small positive difference. 

In the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Carlyle’s organized monetary donations to feed Atlanta’s frontline healthcare workers as they worked tirelessly to restore health back to our city.
